From Our Knees ..... 2010/11 - The 24-7 prayer working group (consisting of Home Missions, DYCW, MWI, Edgehill and QUB Chaplaincy) believe it is right to recruit a PRAYER TEAM for 2010/11.  From 2006 until 2008, there were two youth prayer “Teams on Mission”.  However, they wish to engage a wider age range of people.
The team will have two main purposes

  1. To resource and support 24-7 prayer initiatives in the Methodist Church, locally and at national level.
  2. To offer new resources, training and empowerment to local churches to participate in mission through prayer.

They are seeking volunteers who willing to give time to this exciting project within the Church. The Home Mission Dept will cover essential expenses, including accommodation if necessary.  Volunteers will also receive a small sustenance allowance but will be required to raise about £2000 towards this.  The role would require a minimum of three days a week.
If you know of anyone who might be interested, please contact Gillian Best - gillianbest@irishmethodist.org or Tom Wilson – t.l.wilson@btinternet.com. They would like to have expressions of interest by 31 May.
